I forged a career in recruitment completely by accident. When I was 20 (over 16 years ago!), I was asked to join a company within financial services – as the only recruiter in the business. They were hiring 20+ people a month, and for my sins, for some reason, I accepted and never looked back.

I forged a career in recruitment completely by accident. When I was 20 (over 16 years ago!), I was asked to join a company within financial services – as the only recruiter in the business. They were hiring 20+ people a month, and for my sins, for some reason, I accepted and never looked back.
From here I have done a mix of in house and agency, then set up my own agency over 6 years ago. Running my own business gave me an added layer in supporting clients – when you’ve felt the pain points yourself in running a business, you see things through a commercial lens and not just a hiring lens. No-one wants to lose people. No-one wants to make recruitment mistakes – they are expensive.
Having a ton of candidate feedback to hand, I can evidence that the core of my approach, is the human element. Taking a decision to move jobs is such a big step, no matter what the sector – and I see it as my job to help navigate what motivates candidates the most in their search, to get the right results, every time.
I’m a big believer in recruitment never becoming a “quick fix” and I think my clients work with me, because I see how hiring impacts businesses in a gargantuan way! Having a consultative approach and discussing what results are needed from each hire ensures that clients get the right people into the business and candidates find the work, challenging and rewarding.
Finding the right recruiter helps with your company brand. You want someone on your team, having your back – ready to product results.
Throughout my recruitment journey I have seen a lot of change, but one thing has always remained. Recruitment is all about communication, transparency and collaboration. I believe I incorporate all these areas into my practices to give the best service to both clients and candidates.
When I moved to Cambridgeshire over 20 years ago, I stumbled into the world of recruitment, and it was like stepping into a whirlwind. People told me I'd either love it or hate it. Luckily, I fell head over heels in love with it! As a natural people person, I thrive on building meaningful relationships with both clients and candidates.

In 2007, I took a leap of faith and founded my own recruitment company. Fast forward to 2014, and I embarked on a new adventure, setting up my consultancy. My mission? To partner with clients for the long haul, helping them grow and ensuring they have the best talent to thrive.
I pride myself on making the recruitment journey as smooth as possible for both clients and candidates. Managing expectations and needs is my forte. There's nothing quite like the thrill of placing someone in their dream role and witnessing the joy it brings.
Seeing clients' teams flourish with the right people is incredibly rewarding. It's all about achieving great results and fostering strong relationships.
Representing my clients' brands to attract top talent is a passion of mine.
I work closely with clients, becoming an extension of their team. Understanding their business and culture is key to my success in delivering results. Along the way, I've made some fantastic friends and always have my clients' and candidates' backs.
The recruitment landscape is ever-evolving, and I'm constantly learning new ways to attract the best talent with the right skills and tools. But at the heart of it all, it's about being open, transparent, and collaborative, building trust every step of the way.
